Sharper Image Hair, Beauty & Nails has been proudly serving the Johnsonville community since 1991. As a family-owned salon in the heart of Johnsonville, we've built our reputation on providing skilled, personalised service and helping our clients look and feel their best.
Founded by Joe and Gina, Sharper Image brings decades of industry experience. Joe began his hairdressing career in Hong Kong and has over 30 years of experience creating styles that suit each individual. Gina specialises in beauty, makeup, and skincare, with experience including makeup artistry for the World of Wearable Art (WOW) stage productions.
We offer a full range of hair and beauty services, including precision cuts, colouring, balayage, ionic straightening, skincare treatments, makeup, nails, and beauty services tailored to your needs. Whether you're after a fresh new look, preparing for a special occasion, or simply taking some time for yourself, we're here to help.
How we started
1991
11 Broderick Road
Joe opened up his first salon, Sharper Image. Operating with 2 chairs and settling into the Johnsonville community.
2003
Johnsonville Main Road
The team at Sharper Image expanded and relocated to Johnsonville main road. With a full house of hairdressers, and a beautician room.
2008
8 Burgess Road, Johnsonville
Notices for the "Mall renovation" were shared and so Sharper Image moved down the road, to a new larger location. Here they operated with 10 chairs, a beautician room and nail table.
2016
1B Fraser Ave
Relocated to a sunnier location, tucked behind the motorway. This is the current home for Sharper Image.
